Refund Policy

At Roy, we understand that circumstances can change, and we strive to make our refund and credit policy as clear as possible. You always have the option to request a refund of your Payment within the first 24 hours after processing. Any capitalized terms not otherwise defined herein shall have the meanings given to them in the Roy Terms of Service.

When you make a Payment to a Campaign, your funds are locked in while the Campaign is pending and the Athlete has not ended their Campaign by choosing a school. However, if it has been six months since you made the Payment and the Athlete hasn’t ended their Campaign, you may request a refund or a credit to your Roy Account for use with a different Athlete.

If an Athlete chooses a school different from the one to which you contributed to in the Campaign, your Payment amount will be automatically credited to your Account. If your Payment was made six months or more ago, you may request a refund instead. In each case, the refund will be for the amount of the original Payment and will not include any service fees charged at the time of purchase or any interest.

If the Athlete closes the Campaign and chooses the school toward which you made a Payment while your funds are still pending in the Campaign, the funds are locked in. Likewise, in cases where you contributed to an Athlete’s Campaign during their final year of eligibility, the funds are locked in. These funds can only be refunded if the Athlete fails to provide the exclusive content pursuant to their Agreement with Roy, in which case you will receive a refund equal to the amount not yet disbursed by Roy to the Athlete. For example, if an Athlete is paid 25% for each exclusive content video and only delivers one, you will receive 75% of your contribution credited back to your Account. As with other scenarios, if your refund request is for a Payment made more than six months ago, you will have the option of a refund after receiving the Account credit.

Please note that these refunds do not include the Roy Service Fee that may be charged at the time of your contribution. Additionally, Roy may, at its sole discretion, allow the refund of Payments that are not locked into a Pending Campaign, even if the Payment is within the six-month window.

In the event you make a Payment that is not disbursed to the Athlete following the Fulfillment of a Campaign (for any reason) and (a) Roy is unable to refund such funds to you, or (b) such funds are credited to your Roy Account, Roy will hold the Payment funds subject to Roy’s obligations under applicable abandoned property and escheatment laws.
